It's been one year since the killing of Eric Garner and over three years since the killing of Ramarley Graham. Despite welcomed news this week about a financial settlement between the Garner family and the City of New York, not a single NYPD officer has been held accountable for these killings, in fact, they are still getting salaries. As Emerald Garner, one of Mr. Garner's daughters, said at a press conference: "A settlement is not justice. Justice is when someone is held accountable for their crime." We agree. On Saturday, we rally with the Garner family and all New Yorkers who want real justice, real accountability, and real reforms that ensure no more lives are lost to police violence. Join us!
