Masha Katz Baer
Director of Development
Masha Katz Baer is the Director of Development at the Center for Constitutional Rights and leads the organization's fundraising strategy and implementation in alignment with organizational priorities. She has two decades of professional experience in the non-profit and human rights sector. She began her career managing global travel programs for volunteers and human rights advocates at American Jewish World Service (AJWS). Masha joined the development team at the Innocence Project, where she led the individual giving program and focused on connecting donors to former clients who had been wrongfully convicted and were advocating for systemic changes to the criminal legal system. She worked at Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) as the Director of Individual Giving and Board Liaison. At PHR she developed and implemented the fundraising strategy and managed the planning of two virtual galas, worked closely with the board of directors on their giving and fundraising, and managed a portfolio of supporters. In 2023, she joined the Center for Constitutional Rights as the Deputy Director of Development, overseeing the major gifts program and providing additional leadership to the team, and was later promoted to the role of Director of Development upon her predecessor's retirement. Masha has a Master of Science degree in International Relations and Affairs from The New School and a Bachelor of Arts in International and Global Studies from the University of Oregon.
