This year, CCR is going all-in to support the call for a general strike on Monday, May 1, in solidarity with immigrants and other communities under attack by the Trump administration. Will you join us?
We will meet at Washington Square Park for a warm-up rally with remarks by CCR Executive Director Vince Warren, chants, signs, and printed Know Your Rights materials. Come out! Bring a sign! Rally with us from 11:00 a.m., and be sure to arrive by 11:30 when we will start a brief program.
At noon, we’ll disperse. Some of us will stay at Washington Square Park to join a larger rally and march scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Others will be heading up to Union Square, where a rally and teach-in will be taking place starting at noon, leading up to a 5:00 p.m. march down Broadway to the Federal Building. We would be honored if you would join us for the day’s events. We want to send a message to the current administration this May Day – that when you go after migrants, refugees, trans folks, and workers, we will ALL stand up and fight back. Our message is stronger with you there.
