Please join the Center for Constitutional Rights and pack the court for oral arguments in Al Otro Lado v. Nielsen, a class action lawsuit against officials at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) challenging CBP’s unlawful practice of depriving asylum seekers access to the U.S. asylum process.
On May 10, CCR will join with co-counsel to address the US government's human rights obligations under international law, including their obligation to protect refugees and ensure their right to access asylum processes. Despite the government's unlawful and deeply harmful "Remain In Mexico" policy, these international obligations cannot be violated.
