Join the National Lawyers Guild to discuss “Cruel by Design: Voices of Resistance From Immigration Detention,” a comprehensive report published by the Center for Constitutional Rights and the Immigrant Defense Project that highlights the immigration system as a structure of oppression, the cruel and inhumane conditions at ICE facilities, and the individuals who have survived and resisted. This event will feature Samah Sisay, an attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights, as well as Joaris Hernandez, an immigrant rights activist. Other first-hand accounts from individuals previously detained by ICE will also be shared.
