Join us for a community workshop focused on the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), which is holding its annual meeting in Austin between Aug 14-16. ALEC is dedicated to the corporate take-over of state governments and has a 46 year legacy of contributing to violations of human rights and the environment, particularly affecting People of Color.
We'll hold an education session about the harmful legacy of ALEC, hold a Know Your Rights session for allies to understand how to protect themselves after the new ALEC-inspired Critical Infrastructure law was passed in Texas this year, and share strategies for how our communities can push-back against ALEC.
