CCR will be sponsoring a third screening of "THE END OF AMERICA" on December 14, 2008 at 8:10 at the IFC Center. "THE END OF AMERICA" is a feature-length documentary based on Naomi Wolf's bestselling book of the same name. The film discusses the evolution of America from a functional democracy into a closed, fear-driven society with a terrifying absence of due process. She lays out what she calls the 10 steps necessary to end a democracy and shows us just how close we are to completing them.

CCR President Michael Ratner and attorney Maria LaHood as well as our client Maher Arar are featured in "THE END OF AMERICA," and CCR is privileged to partner in these screenings.

CCR Attorney Maria LaHood will be present to lead a discussion about Maher Arar's case, which was just argued, on December 9, before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals en banc.
