The Cardozo Public Law, Policy & Ethics Journal and the Center for Constitutional Rights invite you to a panel discussion exploring the legal questions and ethical dilemmas embodied in Arar v. Ashcroft, appeal to be heard en banc in the Second Circuit on December 9, 2008. Mr. Arar's counsel, Maria LaHood (with co-counsel Joshua Sohn) will present the factual background of the case and the issues on appeal, then the panel with explore the ethical and legal questions raised by rendition that results in brutal torture, interrogation and years of separation from family, all without any charge of a crime.
